Families involved in the self-help construction of family houses of the Project DOM.ov apply for housing loans. The loan is a product of the social bank Slovenská sporiteľna, it is intended for low-income families and its purpose is to cover the costs of building materials for the construction of a family home.

Obtaining a loan is preceded by a 1-year preparation period. A social worker and adviser in the field of family finances prepares together with the client a Family Plan for housing financing (the so-called Professional Plan). It helps to set the family budget so that the repayment of the loan is bearable for the family. In case of foreclosure, he provides professional help to the family, or represents the client in communication with creditors. The conditions for obtaining a housing loan include the willingness to study and be active on the labor market.
