On March 29, 2023, the US ambassador Gautam Rana visited Bôrka due to his interest in examples of good practice. He was specifically interested in how the local government supports vulnerable communities and what problems it is currently facing. He was also interested in the activities of the self-help construction program, which is covered by the non-profit organization Projekt DOM.ov, and also in the early care activities of the Omama program led by the non-profit organization Cesta von.

Our client Soňa Kašparová, who built a family house herself and is also an Omama in the local community, shared her experience. Later, they together visited family houses that were built as part of the self-help construction program. The ambassador praised the work of the mayor of the village and his involvement in helping the residents of the village, he also praised the activities of the Self-help construction and Omama programs. He encouraged the participants in their activities and wished them success in the future.
